Meet The Reverend Doctor Dan Osgood

The Reverend Doctor F. Daniel Osgood graduated from Northern Vermon University, Lyndon, VT. He completed his Master of Divinity degree at Bangor Theological Seminary, Bangor, ME and received his Doctor of Ministry degree at Northern Seminary, Lombard, IL. He has also studied at North Park Theological Seminary in Chicago, IL and Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Hamilton, MA.

The early years of Reverend Dan’s life were spent on a small Vermont dairy farm. His life during these years centered on a large extended family and the local small, rural community church.

Before entering the ministry, Reverend Dan taught for several years at Thetford Academy in Thetford, VT, after which, with his wife Kathy and their two children, he became a dairy farmer. While farming, Reverend Dan began to examine a personal calling to ministry, leading him to enroll in Bangor Theological Seminary where he majored in small church ministry.

In 1987 Reverend Dan graduated from BTS and was called to the Greenfield Covenant Church. At that time, he was also called to the position of Protestant Chaplain at Crotched Mountain Rehabilitation Center. While serving as chaplain, Reverend Dan has provided spiritual care and guidance to the Crotched Mountain community. He has served on various CMRC committees including the Human Rights, Chaplaincy, and Grief.

Through his nearly forty years of ministry in Greenfield, Reverend Dan has continued to serve the Greenfield Covenant Church and Crotched Mountain School. He has also served in various community, regional and national organizations; they include Monadnock Habitat for Humanity Founding Board of Directors, Secretary of Monadnock Council of Churches, Pilgrim Pines Camp and Conference Center Board of Directors, Monadnock Community Hospital Ethics Committee and the Pregnancy Resource Center of the Monadnock Region Board of Directors. Also, Reverend Dan is presently engaged with Joni and Friends International Disability Center, an international organization with the sole purpose of advancing ministries to people with disabilities.
